Our first stop will be the majestic Cathedral of St. Nicholas, the patron saint of Hermoupolis. Located in the prestigious Vaporia district, the cathedral boasts lavish interiors and an impressive architectural structure, surrounded by unique high-ceiling mansions that seem to float above the sea.

Next, we'll visit the iconic Apollon Theater, a major attraction and cultural symbol of Hermoupolis. Built in 1864 by Italian architect Pietro Sampo, the theater draws inspiration from several Italian standards, including the Scala di Milano, and hosts various cultural events today.

Our next stop will be a visit to a remarkable Neoclassical mansion. Stepping into this mansion, we' re immersed in a world of timeless elegance. The walls adorned with scenic paintings and the ceilings adorned with intricate plasterwork evoke the grandeur of the past. Each room whispers stories of aristocratic life, offering a glimpse into a bygone era of opulence and refinement.

Our journey continues to the heart of Hermoupolis, Miaoulis Square, which is the historic square of Syros featuring architectural marvels in a dreamy landscape of the 19th century. Here, we'll visit the Town Hall designed by Ernst Ziller. This architectural gem, built in 1898, blends Tuscan, Ionic, and Corinthian styles and features a magnificent 15.5-meter-high princely staircase.

Leaving the town center, our journey takes us to the old town of Syros, the medieval settlement of Ano Syros, situated atop the hill to the left of Hermoupolis. Upon arrival, we'll enter the settlement at the top of the hill. Here, we'll explore notable landmarks including the Cathedral of St. George, the island's Catholic cathedral, the Catholic Monastery of Capuchins, and the church of St. John, which dates back to 1635. Following our visit to these historic sites, we'll leisurely wander around the picturesque center of the settlement known as 'Piatsa,' where quaint shops and the museum of Markos Vamvakaris, one of the most influential Greek rebetiko musicians, await our discovery.

Finally, following our exploration of Ano Syros, we will embark on a bus tour through the Neoclassical Villages of Syros, where historic mansions hold captivating tales of their own.
